Local Independent News & Marketplace
Civic engagement and social awareness help local communities flourish and thrive!
That’s why Chi-Town Review offers this digital space for exploring Chicago’s most important social issues. Chi-Town Review is also powered by a digital marketplace that helps local socially-conscious consumers support local socially-conscious entrepreneurs and artists– their community.
Chi-Town Review is Chicago’s digital source for local, independent news about urban issues that matter. We’re talking human rights, education, crime, injustice, politics and more.
Chi-Town Review features engaging interactives and digital storytelling. Get a deeper sense of the issues with charts, maps, videos and documents.
Social engagement doesn’t doesn’t stop at news. You can support up-and-coming locals, or sell your own socially-conscious products in Chi-Town Review’s Smartketplace–a digital market where local entrepreneurs, artists and freelancers can sell their handmade, organic, eco-friendly or healthy work.
Smartketplace supports Chi-Town Review. That means that by shopping on Smartketplace and buying from a local vendor, you’re supporting two local businesses at the same time.
